Nike Air Force 1 "5 Borough Pack"

This "5 Borough Pack" kind of came out of nowhere. These kicks just showed up on the shelves of select NY retailers without any prior information. 

Working left to right in the picture about we the BX, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island and Manhattan. 

The Bronx, New York

Blue/White/Orange

On this BX pair you can see how each shoe is marked with its borough, on the outter heel as well as on the laces.

Queens, New York

Green/White/Yellow

Each shoe has the chenille but what I call the "sweatshirt swoosh." The Swoosh is in the accent color on each show, here it is in the Yellow which is also brought in on the piping, inner lining and lace details.

Brooklyn, New York

Black/White/Purple-Light Purple

On each pair, a lighter version of the Swoosh color is used for the piping down the lace panel, around the heel panel, the white on the side and toes panel as well as the inner lining of the shoes. On this Brooklyn pair you can see the lighter purple, almost a Lavender, is used for the piping.

Each shoe has the borough written from heel to toe. The Inner sole itself is the same as the accent color, on this shoe, Orange, and the borough is in the the Navy.

Kanye's return!

Yesterday, Kanye West returned to twitter and to my surprise, everyone was buzzing about it! Well, his return may be due to his afternoon visit with Twitter staff yesterday. He had made a visit at Facebook the day before where he shared some of his new music, so it would only be fair if he did the same for the people at Twitter.



Hi new album which has been said to be titled 'Good Ass Job' is no longer. He said on his twitter yesterday afternoon that he is now tossing a few titles around. He has yet to say what the new title is but being that no one knows when its even set to drop, I guess he has all the time in the world!

Kanye's new music: FB you hear it FIRST!

Since Kanye dropped his first album , The College Dropout in 2004, I think its safe to say he caught everyones attention. It was shortly after the release that he came to my University and killed the stage at our Fallfest, the concert held on the first day of classes. He did his thing and for months his music was blasting out of dorm rooms, houses and cars all over town.

After that, I listened to a few tracks here an there but I never really copped an album or had any interest in seeing him live again. 

Kanye is currently building anticipation within the fans and critics about his new album Good Ass Job, keeping details to almost nada. 

The people at Facebook in California got a sneak peak, "Kanye Unpugged," exclusive of some of his new music.


Kanye jumps up on the table in the front of a conference room and starts to spit some new tracks. I am interested to see if any of this actually ends up on the album!

He explains that this is just something funny to get the room started and then begins:



He leads into this one by saying it took him 33 years to write it and therefore means a lot to him, Momma's Boyfriend:



This is a great track! Agree or disagree it is a true, heartfelt story that he just shared with a room full of strangers and eventually, the entire world will hear it.

Although him on a table being held down on one end by two people was weird and I was little nervous of what I might see or hear, these tracks, well Momma's Boyfriend and what seemed a lot like a freestyle, just may get be back on Team Kanye.

First American BeatBox Championsip

2010 marks the 6th Annual International Human BeatBox Convention. This 3 day event starts FRIDAY July 30th and goes through the weekend. This year it is being held in LittleField, Brooklyn, New York.

Festivities include a short film competition from The Smalls Street Sounds, 8 finalist competing for the BeatBox Championship, LIVE performances, DJs, B-Boy&B-Girls, workshops, panel discussions as well as a youth urban art gallery and a performance from a Brooklyn HipHop based after-school program group 'GOSSIP.'

The short film competition 'sounds' like it will be a very interesting thing to see, or shall I say listen to. in 2009 Scion made it possible for Street Sounds to be created. This exclusive screening will be a first for the Street Sounds in the US. Street Sound is what is next in sound collaboration. I know I have sounds that I love, like the rain, football helmets crashing after HIKE, cleats on pavement, sneakers on a basketball court, little kids laughing and so on and so forth. If you are the same way, and enjoy the sounds of the world, PLEASE visit their website, Street Sounds , it is one of the most interesting sites I have come across in a long time. Definitely made me more interested in seeing the film competition!

Judging for the BeatBox Championship, which is said to hopefully be the biggest BeatBox event in the US, will be done by prominent members of the HipHop community. The three judges are Jarobi White from A Tribe Called Quest, Swiss Chris who was a drummer and music director for John Legend and Kenny Muhammad the "Human Orchestra." 

To make it to the final, competitors have made it through 3 rounds of video submissions. Round 1 - Solo, Round 2 - Covers and Round 3 - Backing an MC. The final on the 31st will have to same rundown, then the top 4 will go on to one on one battles, 3vs4, 1vs2 to find the top 2 who will compete through 2, 2 minute rounds to name the Champ!

This sounds like it will be a great event and a definite DO NOT MISS for Summer 2010.

I can admit, I like the "Pretty Boy Swag" beat but really can't stand the song in its entirety.

There are now two new versions of the song, both from females. One from Rasheeda and the other from BR, Ray Charles granddaughter. One spits on the track, one sings. Both are beautiful. One does it better!

Fabolous ft Red Cafe -Tonight/Love Come Down

Fabolous released another video from There Is No Competition 2: The Funeral Service, which is being re-released as an EP in August. The two tracks in this video, 'Tonight' and 'Love Come Down,' serve as installments 4 and 5 of The Funeral Arrangement.



I , personally, could do without soo much booty in my face through the entire 'Tonight' portion of this video. That being said, I understand its flow with the track. Honestly, who doesn't listen to this track and picture the two stylin' in the strippy? I mean really!?

Fabo really can't do too much that I won't like! haha  Still killin off his mixtape that dropped months ago!

This week, Follower of the Week goes to a group of gentlemen from New York. 

 L.I.E...Lost In Eternity

The above picture is from just a week ago when they performed to a sold out Highline Ballroom. Although most of my readers may have no idea who these gentlemen are, they have created a buzz for themselves over the last few years. 

DeShaun, Leaks and Dennis K are three extremely talented and focused young men who are on their journey to the top. Their name has college campuses in the area buzzing! They have traveled around the North East getting those college shoes in hitting schools like Stony Brook, Lafyette and Boston College, just to name a few. You have to know how good these cats are based strictly off a sold out performance at Highline as unsigned artists! 

Just days after the Highline Ballroom performance, L.I.E stopped by Power 105.1 for Sundays New New York with Jovonn The Don!

I personally wouldn't wear these but I think they are hot so I had to post them! I like the Black and Red accents and the White Midsole!! They aren't my vibe but if they rock your boat, keep your eyes open for their release in AUGUST!

Sportswear Dunk High- Pinstripe

LOVE THESE!!! I don't really know why I like these as much as I do but I hope they are released so I can get a pair. This, again, is just a sample that is available for bid now on eBay. 

Black leather Swoosh overlays the Black with White Pinstrip.

The Red,White and Blue heel tab with the silver rooster button is said to possibly connect these shoes to the French National Soccer team.

Like I said, these are a sample shoe and are available through eBay. Cigar0330 has them in a Size 9.

No information on if or when these will release.

PF Flyers Double Tongue

OK, I don't know about you, but every time I see or hear about PF Flyers, I think about The Sandlot! Now that the thought is gone, I can get to these Double Tongue PFs!

I personally like the Double Tongue. It gives you the option to put the second tongue down which would add a color to the shoe. I like the black better simply because I like the inside Teal. 

These are set to release in the Fall!

Silvano Fly High "Chocolate Chip Cookie"

I think these will be KILLIN in the fall and possibly into winter.

Light Brown leather base, Light Tan suede, Dark Brown suede on the toe panel and up the lace panel. A White strap creates an accent to the side and back of the shoe. 

These will be released at a limited 500 pairs on August 1st.

These kicks are like nothing I currently own or have owned in the past but they caught my eye. I could definitely rock the White/Black/Teal/Purple joints though!

"For the Love of the Game"

Not my flow but I know a lot of people who would love to add these to the collection. As part of the FTLOTG pack, every Sneakerhead will probably own them!

University Blue leather and nubuck upper with Black and White accents throughout. 

Part of the "For the Love of the Game" pack, I have my eyes on release dates.

Air Jordan Hoop TR 97 SAMPLE

These are just a sample shoe and there is no saying when, if at all, these will be released!

This ONE pair has found its way to eBay and is now up for bid. 

Cigar0330 is selling the ONE pair of Size 9s.

White leather and perforated upper, deep Royal Blue on the tongue, mid-panels, ankle and parts of the midsole with Black found on the heel, ankle and midsole. 

I don't hate them but I definitely don't love them either. Something about throws me off. Colorway is cool, can't really go wrong with White/Royal/Black. I think its the Royal tabs on the side for the laces are killin these for me. A lot of the blue accents are making these look real cheap to me for some reason! I will not be purchasing but to each his own! 

Air Jordan 1 Retro High

I love both of the colorways! The Black/Cyber-Black-Blue Sapphire with the white stitching look almost like a drawing. The stitching would drive me crazy so I will not own these but the Stealth/Team Red-Light Graphite-Charcoal need to find their way into my collection!

These are set to release in August, but it is being said that they are NOW available through City Sole.

Air Jordan IX Retro "Quai54"

White leather and patent leather midsole, with the patent extending around the toe panel, mud guard, ankle and heel. The Varsity Maize is the accent color found on the tongue logo, laces, the jumpman on the outer sole as well as the logos on the heel. Black is also found on the tongue, lace loops, sole and liner. 

Sources say that there has yet to be any set date for a States release but I will keep my ears open. 

Jordan Flight 45 High - Black/Citrus

Ballistic Mesh and Nubuck on the upper, Citrus stitching throughout the shoe, hints of Red can be found on the Logos, tongue and heel! I think my favorite detail on this shoe is its strap! 

Also, no set release date!

Air Jordan Six Ring "Full 3M"

Easy - LOVE these!!! Want them, need them! 

Light-Graphite/Metallic Silver with the entire upper in 3M with translucent outsole!
