Jeezy-Hood Politics
Jeezy- Hood Politics off that Trap or Die 2!!
I've never understood why artists name put out tracks entitled "Hood Politics" or the like and then the video is them in a huge mansion, driving the best cars on the road!! I mean I understand telling a story of where you came from while showing where you are now, but it really makes me laugh every time! This video really just seems like everyone was sitting at the house, and they said, "screw it, lets shoot this video real quick, we got nothin else to do!" hahahaha
Overall, like the track! Still love me some Jeezy, who looks particularly good in this video (never really been into Jeezy like that but he's lookin betta these days!) Still wish I was at the house they shot this at! haha

I kept thinking he was actually goin to mix in 'Beamer, Benz or Bentley.' Overall, I like the blend. Nicki's verse fits well over the beat!

This dude has some of the worst tats I have ever seen!! 1st Round NFL Draft Pick Devin McCourty , had all of Rockland County rooting for him last night! Born in Nanuet, NY in August of 1987, he was destined to be a star!!He attended a private school in the area, Saint Joseph Regional High School. A lot of kids in the area attend the school because of its superior sports program.
In 2004, Devin and his twin brother Jason, registered with Rutgers University in New Jersey. Devin spent the 2004 season on the scout team. In 2006, as a defensive back, he placed 10th and had 38 tackles, 23 of which were solo. In 2007, Devin took over the weak side Cornerback position, with Jason starting in the other Cornerback position. That season he finished 6th on the team with 63 tackles, 40 of which were solo!
Devin started 39 of 52 contests at Rutgers, in which he got 238 tackles with 149 of them solo! He deflected 27 passes and intercepted 6 for 105 yards in returns as well as 2 touchdowns.
It was his 2009 season at Rutgers that caught the eye of NFL scouts. He earned All-American and All-Big East Conference, which made him the first conference player to earn that honor at two positions, Cornerback and Special-Teams, in the same year. He was named "Special Teams Demon." He started all 13 contests and ended the season with a career high 80 tackles, 49 of them being solo. Devin averaged 25.43 yards on 14 kickoff returns for 356 yards and a 98 yard touch which leaves him ranked 3rd in school history.
After playing at both Saint Joseph and Rutgers University together, the twins were separated in 2009 when Jason was drafted by the Tennessee Titans.
Last night it was Devin's turn!! He was drafted in the first round of the NFL Draft by the New England Patriots, pick number 27! Devin has a lot to offer and I believe will do WONDERS for the Patriot's Special-Teams!

43 year old Guru, frontman of Gangstar, passed Monday morning after a battle with cancer.
A letter fro Guru to his fans:
According to Yo! Raps, Guru penned this letter to fans, explaining his illness while in the hospital with terminal cancer. Read it below in its entirety: - Ballerstatus
I, Guru, am writing this letter to my fans, friends and loved ones around the world. I have had a long battle with cancer and have succumbed to the disease. I have suffered with this illness for over a year. I have exhausted all medical options. I have a non-profit organization called Each One Counts dedicated to carrying on my charitable work on behalf of abused and disadvantaged children from around the world and also to educate and research a cure for this terrible disease that took my life. I write this with tears in my eyes, not of sorrow but of joy for what a wonderful life I have enjoyed and how many great people I have had the pleasure of meeting. My loyal best friend, partner and brother, Solar, has been at my side through it all and has been made my health proxy by myself on all matters relating to myself. He has been with me by my side on my many hospital stays, operations, doctors visits and stayed with me at my home and cared for me when I could not care for myself. Solar and his family is my family and I love them dearly and I expect my family, friends, and fans to respect that, regardless to anybody's feelings on the matter. It is my wish that counts. This being said I am survived by the love of my life, my sun KC, who I trust will be looked after by Solar and his family as their own. Any awards or tributes should be accepted, organized approved by Solar on behalf myself and my son until he is of age to except on his own. I do not wish my ex-DJ to have anything to do with my name likeness, events tributes etc. connected in anyway to my situation including any use of my name or circumstance for any reason and I have instructed my lawyers to enforce this. I had nothing to do with him in life for over 7 years and want nothing to do with him in death. Solar has my life story and is well informed on my family situation, as well as the real reason for separating from my ex-DJ. As the sole founder of GangStarr, I am very proud of what GangStarr has meant to the music world and fans. I equally am proud of my Jazzmatazz series and as the father of Hip-Hop/Jazz. I am most proud of my leadership and pioneering efforts on Jazzmatazz 4 for reinvigorating the Hip-Hop/Jazz genre in a time when music quality has reached an all time low. Solar and I have toured in places that I have never been before with GangStarr or Jazzmatatazz and we gained a reputation for being the best on the planet at Hip-Hop/Jazz, as well as the biggest and most influential Hip-Hop/Jazz record with Jazzmatazz 4 of the decade to now. The work I have done with Solar represents a legacy far beyond its time. And we as a team were not afraid to push the envelope. To me this is what true artists do! As men of honor we stood tall in the face of small mindedness, greed, and ignorance. As we fought for music and integrity at the cost of not earning millions and for this I will always be happy and proud, and would like to thank the million fans who have seen us perform over the years from all over the world. Coming out of Rockland County, New York, Emperor Chi began rapping at the young age of 16. Throughout his young life, he made some decisions that were not the best. During a four year prison bid, he perfected his craft and now has skills comparable to those of top artists in the industry! Ready to become one of Hip-Hops Elite, he is now beginning his rise to the top!!
Some of his biggest influences include artists like Nas, Notorious B.I.G. , Big L, Jay-Z, Kool G Rap and Wu-Tang Clan.
One thing I personally love about Chi, is that he is not afraid to be the artist that he is! Straight from his Bio, "Through a broad spectrum of experiences, chi has the ability to intrigue hip hop fans from all walks of life, he is a hustler's hustler, a woman’s Mr. Right, a Spartan soldier's Conrad, and a conscious rappers favorite rapper."
Teamed up with New York's well respected Ryde Out Records, his first two Mix-tapes have been a success!! His second Mix-tape caught the attention of the masses with his hit, "Big Boy Boppin." After being on Hot 97 with DJ Kay Slay, he earned guest spots on top DVDs and Mixtapes including Cocaine City, Cut Master Cee's True Story DVD, Kay Slay, DJ Super Star Jay and DJ Suss. He has had the opportunity of opening for acts like G-Unit, Roc-A-Fella and D-Block!
While doing guest appearance and guest spots, he has been doin many radio interviews as well as talking to youth in his area. He recently visited Ramapo High School in Rockland County. While he was there he talked to students about keeping education first and staying focused rather than giving in to the temptations of quick money on the streets. Chi himself, knows that life all to well and wants to makes sure the youth do not follow his path.
He is currently working on his highly anticipated album which will have appearances by Joell Ortiz and Saigon amongst others.
Chi is now at a point in his career where he is ready to blast off. With the help of a major label he knows he can get to the top!

Jaiden grew up in New York's Long Island. Coming from a musical family, it is not surprising that he fell in love with music at a young age. He began singing in the church choir and by the age of 13 he was recording with major gospel artists and singing throughout the country. Singing, writing or playing the Piano, Jaiden is always working! His wide range of influences, Gospel, Rock and Hip-Hop, are visible in all of his work.
Jaiden has worked with many great artists including Alicia Keys, John Legend and P Diddy as well as Producers like Rockwilder, Eddie F. and Full Force. His writing has been brought to the stage by artists like Jeannie Ortega, Case and Carl Thomas.
In a time where there are very few artists as talented and well versed as Jaiden, he has decided it is time to get out of the background and make sure all of his talents are seen. Jaiden has incredible range and control. He is a spectacular lyricist.
