Follower of the Week: @YoungPaperNY

@YoungPaperNY

The two young men that together are, Young Paper, are on a mission to bring Long Island to the top!

Blao, Balil Butler, was born in Long Island, NY before living in North Carolina for a few years. He is now back in NY for good and is more focused than ever.
When he spits you can hear both NY swag and a Southern bounce.
Blao began rhyming at the age of 12 and recorded his first track 2 years later at 14.

Da General, Don Gorham, whose brother was also an MC, influenced him to start rhyming at the age of 14. That year he recorded his first track with his group Set It off.
Set It Off was short lived and Da General and another member formed Paper Boys.
Paper Boys quickly grew into a four member group, with Blao being recruited to join the boys.

You never think that Blao and Da General just met last Spring!
Since meeting they have branched out from Paper Boys and
 under new management, formed Young Paper!
Now 18 years old, Young Paper is touring and climbing to the top.

The two were recently at Smash Studios recording when they sat down with Power 105.1s Jovonn for his show NewNY, where he plays tracks from unsigned New York artists.
When asked to describe their style in one word, Da General quickly responded with SWAG!
They told Jovonn their mission is to bring L.I. back. They feel as though no one from L.I. is relevant in the game right now and they are here to change that.
They spit about what they know, being 18 and trying to make it in the game.

Definitely keep your eyes open for these two!
They are currently touring so check their Reverb Nation page (link below) for dates!
