I for one, am more surprised that ANYONE has a perfect bracket going into the Sweet 16 than I am to hear it is a 17 year old Autistic kid from Chicago!!
He picked Ohio over Georgetown, Northern Iowa over Kansas, Cornell over Wisconsin, and both Nova and Notre Dame being knocked out!
The 17 year old, Alex Hermann, is just as surprised as anyone else!! His brother said his bracket, along with everyone else he knows is shot while Alex is going into the Sweet 16 not missing one game!!!
After Alex and his brother Andrew had looked over the bracket a few hundred times, they were amazed!! Andrew, Alex's older brother, had helped him enter his team selections into the CBSSports.com bracket challenge, of course, entering the only one that doesn't have a prize!
There were 4.78 million brackets submitted on ESPN.com and the leader on the site even has 4 games wrong! I was excited before Syracuse and Florida State played their games in Round 1, at the potential of having a perfect West! hahaha
March Madness is when you see the biggest upsets, like #14 Ohio knocking #3 Georgetown out of the tournament in Round 1!! It is almost impossible to go an entire tournament without one game wrong due to this fact!! I know I fill out one bracket based on teams W-L Record, another based off mascots, one off colors, one with the team I want to win regardless of its impossibilities, and then one I really put a lot of thought into.
I am sure we will be hearing more about Alex Hermann and his 48 for 48 bracket!! I'm sure he is ready for the Sweet 16 games to start tonight to see if he can continue on his road to perfection! For tonight's games he has Kentucky over Cornell, West Virginia over Washington, Cuse over Butler and Kansas St over Xavier.
Here is a link to a website where they have a copy of his bracket sheet!
Good Lock Alex!!!
